I had a Jack for my card, I chose to Jack in the box because it was the first thing that popped into my head when i thought of Jack. The background wasn't what i expected doing till i realized my coloring was uneven and there wasn't a way to really fix it. I was using pastel crayons so it was really hard, harder than i thought it's be. I decided to just make 3 sections of different colors to make my card look a little better then what it was looking. I colored on the back of the printed paper of the Jack in the box and traced it onto my card. As I started to work on my card my mind changed a lot about how I was going to color it. The pastels smudged A LOT, that was probably my biggest problem while creating my card. I really liked this project though it was fun, and different.

My clay project was kinda difficult to make, i'm not that great with art to begin with so trying to make something out of clay was hard. I made an angel with a body that kinda looked like she had a dress on. It was not that easy to make it all evened out and the shape i wanted it to exactly be, but after hard work I was satisfied with what I created. I had to brain storm how to make her hair and the style I wanted to put on her. With a little help from a classmate and Mrs. Ruggles I got it done. I actually had some fun making my angel, besides the big mess i'd make with the clay and getting it all over my clothes.

My group decided to make an alien abduction scene, abducting a cow. We had to re do it about 3 times because it just wasn't looking the way we wanted till the 3rd time doing it. We had a good time making it once we knew what we were doing, took a lot of brainstorming. Once we had the idea we were doing it was really easy to draw it out with tape, easier than I thought it would be. My group actually ended up winning with the most votes I was pretty excited people liked our tape mural.

My pencil project was difficult for me to do I picked to draw the hungry caterpillar, I ended up re drawing it about 4 times. After I drew it all out i realized I didn't want to draw my pencils in it cause it would be boring. I decided to draw a flower with a butterfly flying above it. It's hard to decide how to shade and draw the pencils, it's hard not to make it look weird cause of the shapes you have to draw the pencils in.

Reflect on your "journey" over the past semester. How have you grown artistically and/or creatively? My creativity has expanded a lot. I've messed up while creating some of my projects but I end up fixing it and being able to create something that still looks great. I've had a lot of tools to work with in the art room so that especially helped me expand my mind more.

Which project do you believe was your most successful and why?
The project I think was most successful would have to e my playing card. Even though I messed up on the coloring I was able to turn it into something interesting and bright. In the end it made me happy, if I don't do so great on art work in the end i'll be disappointed and will do it all over again. I used pastels and they made the color look great on my playing card.

Discuss the importance of creativity ("Right Brain Thinking" according to Daniel Pink) in the up-and-coming job market.
Daniel Pink talks about how being creative and using the "Right Brain Thinking" would help you in the real world now that jobs are becoming more advanced and creative. If you aren't the type of person that is smart academically, but you are very creative and skilled in art then you could just go apply yourself to a job that doesn't involve being book smart.
